副詞の lately
副詞の lately 。意味は、
近ごろ
ちょっと前から現在に至るまでの時期を示すので、現在完了の時制で用いられることが多い。
Have I told you lately that I love you?
ただし、文脈によっては、現在形や過去形の時制で用いられることもある。
同じような意味をもつ recently は、さらに直近の時期も表すので、現在完了形と過去形の時制でよく用いられる。
lately の位置
lately は動詞の後ろ、もしくはその目的語の後ろに位置する。
I haven’t seen him lately.
または、
文頭に用いられる。
Lately, I have been taking walks.
