Inflation
General price (一般物価) 、General price level の Increase 。
General price
Market で 一般的な Consumer が Purchase する Price 。
Deflation
General price 、General price level の Decrease 。
Nominal dollars
名目ドル。Price level の Measurement 、Current dollars 。
Inflation や Deflation の影響を受けている。それらの Adjustment が行われていない。
Constant dollars
不変ドル。Price level の Measurement 。
Inflation や Deflation を考慮するので、Adjustment を行う必要がある。
Constant dollar balance sheet
Non monetary items を Current price に Restate 。
Purchasing power
購買力。Goods や Service を Obtain できる Currency や Asset の Power 。
Inflation や Deflation で Change 、Purchasing power gain (Loss) が発生。
Monetary items
貨幣性項目。Dollar の Numerical value (数値) が固定の Assets や Liabilities 。将来にわたって Dollar の Carrying value が Change しない。
Monetary items の代表が Cash 。

非貨幣性項目。Dollar の Numerical value (数値) が Change する Assets や Liabilities 。
Non monetary items の例として、

都市部消費者物価指数。Prices の Changing を示す Index 。
Current cost accounting
Assets 、Liabilities 、Revenues 、Expenses を Balance sheet の Current cost で Value するメソッド。
Items の Value の Increase は、Holding gain として Record 。
たとえば、
ある Merchandise の Cost が、
5/1 Purchase price $100
12/31 Replacement cost $120
だとしたら、Holding gain は $20 。
