SSAE -Attestation engagement の Standards
CPA は、Audit 以外に Examination や Review などの Attestation（証明）や Assurance（保証）のサービスも実施する。
その Attestation の Standards となるのが、
Attestation standards
その解釈書が、
Statements on Standards for Attestation Engagements(SSAE)
SSAE の Authoritative bodyとなっているのが、
Auditing Standards Board(ASB)
Auditを対象としたGAAS と違って、過去の情報に基づく Historical な Financial statement だけでなく、Pro forma financial statements のような Prospective な Financial statement も対象となる。
Attestation engagement を Business acquisition study や Feasibility study の一部とすることを許可している。
３つの Attestation standards
Attestation standards は、GAAS と同じように大きく３つにわかれる。
- Attestation general standards
- Attestation fieldwork standards
- Attestation reporting standards
Attestation general standards
GAAS の General standard は３つあったが、Attestation は５つに増える。新たに Knowledgeと Criteria が加わる。Independence はどちらでも求められている。

CPAは Subject matter に関する十分な Knowledge をもつ
3. Criteria
CPAは Subject matter を Suitable で Available な Criteria で評価する
Attestation fieldwork standards
GAAS の Fieldwork standards は３つあったが、Attestation は2つ。
- Planning and Supervision
- Evidence
1. Planning and Supervision
Attestation は Adequately に Plan され、Properly に Supervise される。
2. Evidence
Report で Reasonable basis な Conclusion を Provide するために、Sufficient な Evidence を Obtain する。
Internal control に関する Entity and its Environment がない。
Attestation reporting standards
GAAS と同じく４つの項目があるが、中身は総入れ替え。

- Conclusion
- Reservations
- Restrictions
1. Identify
Assertion の Subject matter と、その Assertion と Character を Identify する。
Opinion は Express しないので、GAAS にある Expression of an opinion はない。また、Financial statement の Consistency と Disclosure も定めがなくなっている。
2. Conclusion
Identify した Assertion についての Conclusion
3. Reservations
Assertion についての Significant reservations（重要な留保）を記す。
4. Restrictions
Examination と Review による Attestation reports は、General use となる。
Agreed-upon procedures による Attestation reports は、Restricted use となる。Specified parties しか使用できない。
